The aim is to:
1. Encourage more countries in Europe to make it mandatory to install smoke alarms in residential homes.2. Encourage fire services at national or local level to get involved in providing or installing smoke alarms for vulnerable people living in their communities and in promoting greater awareness about smoke alarms.3. Provide basic information for householders about smoke alarms – type of smoke alarms, where to install them and how to look after them.
We have received much support for our campaign from fire service personnel all over Europe and from MEP's and from smoke alarm companies working in the European market - click here
